This Privacy Policy applies to the Vedic Links application ("Vedic Links", "App", "Platform") published and maintained by Codecera.

Vedic Links is a dedicated utility for Hindu rituals, panchang, tharpanam, and daily calendar guidance. This Privacy Policy explains how Codecera ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") handles, stores, and protects information when you use the Vedic Links mobile application and its related calculation services.

2. Privacy by Design & Data Protection

To guarantee the absolute privacy of your spiritual and personal records, Vedic Links is built with privacy-first principles:

• Your personal profile information (name, gothram, nakshatra, rasi, veda, sutra, and gotra pravaram) is stored exclusively on your device.
• All family member profiles and ritual details (e.g., parent/ancestor names and death anniversary tithi parameters) are stored locally in your device's secure local storage.
• We do not run any user authentication servers, user account databases, or cloud sync profiles. Your records never leave your phone unless transiently queried to run local calculations.

3. Location Permissions and Usage

Hindu rituals, sankalpam mantras, and calendar timings are highly dependent on the local sunrise, sunset, and timezone. To enable accurate calculations, Vedic Links requests location permission:

• GPS / Device Location: If granted, coordinates (latitude and longitude) are retrieved locally to look up your local timezone and sun transitions.
• Manual Location Selection: If you prefer not to share GPS coordinates, you can manually select a city or search for location coordinates within the App from our database of over 500 cities.
• Zero Logging: Coordinates are used purely for astronomical calculations. They are not stored on our servers, linked to any device identifier, or shared with third parties.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Since Vedic Links does not store your profile data on our servers, data retention is entirely under your control:

• Inner-App Deletion: You can clear or edit your profile, family records, and saved files inside the App's "Profile" tab at any time.
• Complete Erasure: Clearing the App cache/data in your Android or iOS settings, or uninstalling the App, will instantly and permanently erase 100% of your records and configurations. This action is irreversible.

6. Children's Privacy

Vedic Links is a general utility app for performing cultural rituals and does not collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.

7. Security Practices

All communications between the App and our stateless calculation servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS 1.3). No data is transmitted in plain text.

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect evolving legal or technical standards. Any modifications will be posted to this page with an updated effective date.
